SESSIONS

We run a variety of sessions which are all listed below - please click on the box before each headline to access the dropdown menu. If you are new to the sport, you can choose to book on one of our beginner lessons or courses. If you are a competent paddler but wish to improve your technique under the supervision of an instructor, you can book on a Coastal Voyage, Canal Cruise or a private session. Once you are a confident or experienced paddler, you can find us outside Hythe & Saltwood Sailing Club hiring SUPs, or you can sign up to become a SUP HUB member that will give you access to booking on to the weekly community sessions once they start running again.

We are now operating at THE SUP HUB, providing an opportunity to exercise in the outdoors. We are an ASI accredited school and have high standards in place to ensure the safety of our clients.

We ask that all clients sign the waiver disclaimer stating they do not have any COVID-19 or flu symptoms, and agree to abide by social distancing at all times.

We operate to the required group size for outdoor activities, with measures in place so instructors and students maintain social distancing at all times in and off the water. Any person displaying flu like symptoms will not be allowed to participate in activities.

Hand sanitiser is provided for clients. All equipment and clothing are disinfected prior to being used by you and disinfected immediately after use.

Clients are also welcome to bring their own equipment and clothing.

*Please note that all timings for sessions are inclusive of meeting & greeting, filling in participation/hire forms, completing card/online payments, changing in to/out of suitable beachwear, and adhering to COVID-19 guidance on health and personal hygiene, and cleaning and disinfecting of equipment used in the lesson/hire.

PADDLING LOCATIONS

Hythe Beach

Hythe beach is a beautiful spot to paddle from on the English Channel with views across to France on a nice clear day. We operate all of our lessons and sessions from Hythe & Saltwood Sailing club which has been established in 1971.

Hythe & Saltwood Sailing Club address is 48 Marine Parade, Hythe, CT21 6AW.

Hythe Canal

The Historical Royal Military Canal set back from the beach provides a sheltered and tranquil setting for paddling. If conditions are not suitable on the sea, we will often move our sessions on to the canal. We also use the canal for longer trips.

We either meet at Twiss Road Bridge, Twiss Road, Hythe, CT21 6AA or at Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway Station, Hythe, CT21 6LD.

Folkestone Harbour

Folkestone Harbour is a beautiful spot for Stand Up Paddleboarding and we are lucky to have it on our doorstep. The shelter of the Harbour provides a great learning spot for beginners. Once you have found your balance and have the confidence to explore the open water, the Harbour Arm provides a protected bay with stunning views of the White Cliffs of Dover and the Warren.

Sessions are run from Folkestone Sea Sports centre that can be found on The Stade, Folkestone, CT19 6AU.
